Ever experienced that exhausting grind on a project, only to reach a point of burnout and disillusionment? You're on the verge of calling it quits when, like a bolt of lightning, a moment of magic strikes—a spark of inspiration reignites your drive to press forward. These moments of rejuvenation can take the form of unexpected opportunities, collaborations, or heartfelt acknowledgments from fans, breathing life back into ventures that might have faded away. They stand as the pivotal saviors of projects, rescuing them from the brink of non-existence.

It All Started with a Simple Idea: The Birth of HousWerx Radio Station

HousWerx Radio Station, founded by Jon Samilpa, came into existence during the pandemic after a friend inspired him to initiate the project. It took approximately six months to materialize the concept from inception to launch. The station was established as a means to unite the house music community in Austin, TX. Since its inception, the station has expanded its reach and fostered relationships within the revered Chicago scene, known as the birthplace of House music.

For Jon, this connection was invaluable as he envisioned a community that bridged house music enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

"I want to continue developing relationships with individuals who possess positive mindsets, further expanding the House community here in Austin," Jon Samilpa expresses.

For Jon, the life-changing aspect of house music lies in its ability to bring together individuals exuding positive vibes and a love for dancing. He cherishes numerous fond memories within the house music community.n Light, otherwise known by his artist name, No Light Thing. The two met online on a house music forum where he saw a post No Light Thing made reaching out looking for events and connections in the scene. Jon responded with a message to check out his station to listen to great house music. They continued the conversation in the DMs and the rest is history.

The Power of Connection

This community led him to Evan Light, also recognized by his artist name, No Light Thing. The two crossed paths online on a house music forum where Jon noticed a post by No Light Thing seeking events and connections in the scene. Jon responded, urging him to explore his station for exceptional house music. Their conversation continued via direct messages, leading to an enduring partnership.

During their initial encounter, No Light Thing was producing his show, "What's On My Mind," or WOMM. At that juncture, he was on the brink of considering discontinuing the project. However, Jon's call to have the show on his station reignited No Light Thing's passion. Their connection serves as one of those beautiful instances where the right person, in the right place, at the right time, alters the course of history.

Subsequently, No Light Thing has aired his show on HousWerx Radio for a year, now gearing up to celebrate a significant milestone – his 100th episode. Describing this achievement as nothing short of amazing, No Light Thing reflects on the journey and Jon's pivotal role in reviving his enthusiasm for the show.

Jon reminisces about their initial conversation, recalling an immediate feeling of friendship and highlighting the gratifying experience of witnessing the show's evolution.

According to Jon, what sets the show apart is No Light Thing's insightful feedback on music selections and comprehensive information about the songs and artists, resonating deeply with the audience, reflected in the show's escalating listenership.
